SRI DWAARAKA(గోమతి ద్వారక)
శ్లోకము:
~శ్రీ గోమతీ పుణ్య సరస్తటస్థే శ్రీ ద్వారకాఖ్య నగరే విరాజన్
కల్యాణ నారాయణ నామధేయః కల్యాణదేవ్యా పరిభూషితాజ్గః
దివ్యాష్ట మహిషీ నాథో ద్రౌపదీ దృష్టి గోచరః
హేమకూట విమానస్థః పశ్చిమాభి ముఖాననః
పరాంకుశ కలిధ్వంసి గోదావిష్ణు మనస్తుతః;
LOCATION: This Divyadesam is in Gujaraath State on western coast.
Pilgrims have to reach via Mumbai- Ahmedabad- Rajkot-Okha railway route
and it is 35 kms from Okha port entrance. They will have to go to Bet Dwaaraka
in a boat.
MOOLAVAR: Kalyaana Narayanan in a standing posture west facing.

PRATYAKSHAM: To Draupadhi.
AALWAAR PAADAL: Nammaalwaar, Thirumangai Aalwaar, PeriyaaLwaar and
Aandaal have done mangalaa saasanams here.
OTHER DETAILS: This is one of the Mukthiprada kshetrams. River
Gomathi joins Arabian sea here. This is the place where Bhagavaan Sri Krishna
resided in Dwaapara yugam. At His instance Viswakarma, Deva silpi, created this
place in the middle of the sea in such a way that enemy forces cannot enter
Dwaaraka. There are over 1500 households in this island of Bet Dwaaraka.
Moolavar is seen here with sanku and chakra. Five kms away is Sanku theertham.
Piraatti is on His chest. Rukmini devi is utsava thaayaar. There are many
sannidhies here. Thirumanjanam is performed daily. Pilgrims can see Devaki
mandir, Baladevaalayam, Venimaadhava aalayam, Saaradaa peetam and Ranachod
devaalayam. Devotees bathe in Gomathi-sea confluence. Lakshminarayana
mandir is on the other side of Gomathi river. There is a stone called as
RAAMANAAMA PATTAR(రామ నామ పత్తర్) which floats in water. It was only with this type of stones, Sri Rama
built a bridge in Tretaayugam to cross the sea and enter into Srilanka to kill
Raavana. pilgrims here is a sannidhi for Rukmini devi at a distance of 5 kms.
This is the place where Rukmini kalyaanam was performed.
There is thotaadri(తోతాద్రి మఠము) matt here. At a distance of 160
kms, there is Raivathaka hill( రైవతక పర్వతము). In the main land also there is a
big temple for Dwaarakaavaasa. In Bet Dwaaraka temple, there is a pollar with a
very narrow space around; but still, devotees embrace this piller and go round
it and pray for their betterment and for fulfilment of their wishes. All
facilities exist for pilgrims here. All devotees of Sri Krishna must visit this
kshetram at least once in their lifetime. After niryaanam of Sri Krishna, most
of Dwaaraka got submerged in the sea. Historians say that the remains of
Dwaaraka town of Sri Krishna's time are found beneath the sea.
