LOCATION:  This kshetram is very near to the west of Ekaambareswaran koil in Kaancheepuram.  This is also nearer to Gangaikonda(గంగైకొండ) mandapam.

MOOLAVAR:  Paandavadoota. Also called as "ARULAALAPERUMAAL(అరుళాళప్పెరుమాళ్) in archaavataaram.Moolavar is in sukhaaseena(sitting) posture east facing along with Rukmini and Sathyabhaama. There are sannidhis for Sudarsana and Narasimha swami here.

THEERTHAM: MATSYA theertham.

VIMAANAM:  Bhadra vimaanam.

PRATYAKSHAM : To Hareetha Maharshi and Janamejaya.

It is not known where Moolavar's sannidhi exists. Utsavar is kept in Ulagalanda Perumaal's sannidhi in north prakaaram.

DIVYADESAM NO. 80:  SRI NILAATTINGAL THUNDANADAN KAANCHEEPURAM.(శ్రీ నిలాత్తింగళ్ తుండనదన్ ) .

నిలాత్తింగళ్ తుండనామ నగరే రుచిరాకృతౌ 

నిలాత్తింగళ్ తుండ నాథశ్చంద్ర పుష్కరిణీయుతే 

 పురుషసూక్త విమాన మధిశ్రితో  వరుణ దిగ్వదనస్థితి శోభితః  సదృశ శూన్య లతా నయన  ప్రియో లసతి రుద్రనుతః కలిజన్నుతః

LOCATION:  This kshetram in in Ekamreswar temple in Kaancheepuram. Kaancheepuram is 76 kms from Chennai and 90 kms from Tirupathi.

STHALA PURAANAM:   Maharshi Kaathyaayana was performing  penance in Badarikaasramam; during that period, Lokajanani Paarvathidevi came to him as a small child; Maharshi adopted  her as his daughter and brought her up. After she has come up of marriageable age, he suggested to her as Siva will be a suitable husband,   she should  worship Siva. . So, she went from Badarikaasramam   to Kaancheepuram via Vaaranaasi and commenced penance under a mango tree. Siva wanted to test her and asked Agnideva to burn the tree. When  she prayed Mahavishnu, he asked Chandra to see that the mango tree flourishes again to life. Now, Siva asked Ganga to flow there and disturb the penance. Unmindful of Kaatyaayani's request not to flow as both of them are sisters, still Ganga flowed there. Vishnu suggested to Kaatyaayani to make a sivalingam with mud and embrace it. She did so but later she thought  that as sivalingam would be washed away in the flow of Ganga water, she prayed Siva and Parvathi. Siva was pleased with her devotion and gave darsan to her. Maha Vishnu performed their marriage. Siva is here as pruthvi lingam.  In this Ekaamreswar temple, both Siva and Vishnu are opposite each other; Ekaambareswar is facing east and Vishnu is facing west. 

MOOLAVAR:  Here Vishnu is called as Sri Nilaattingal Thunda  swami in standing posture in chaturbhujams holding sanku, Chakra, abhaya and kati hastaas. He is known by this name as he saved Kaathyaayani devi from fire and water flow.

THAAYAAR:  There is no separate sannidhi for thaayaar; she is on the chest(వక్షస్థలము) as Sri Ner Oruvar illavalli thaayar( శ్రీ నెర్ ఒరువర్ ఇళ్ళవల్లీ దేవి).

VIMAANAM:  Prushasookta vimaanam/soorya vimaanam.

UTSAVAMS:  Annually around VAIKUNTA Ekaadasi, for ten days brahmostavams are held.

తిరువూరగాఖ్య నగరే త్రివిక్రమో వరనాగ తీర్థ రుచిరే స్థితి ప్రియః 

అమృతాభిధాన లతికా సమన్వితో జలనాథ దిగ్ముఖయుతో విరాజతే  సారశ్రీకర వైమానమ్ నాగేశాక్ష్యతిథి శ్రితః  భక్తిసార కలిద్వేషి  స్తుతి భూషణ భూషితః 

LOCATION: This kshetram is located very nearer to Kaamaakshi Amman koil in Kaancheepuram.  There are Neeragam, Kaaragam and Kaarvaanam sannidhis here. This is said to be the place where Bali Chakravarthi gave three feet space to Vaamana.

MOOLAVAR: Trivikrama Perumaal ( ఉలగళంద పెరుమాళ్) in standing posture  - 35 ft. High moolavar - west facing.

THAAYAR :  Amruthavalli Thaayaar.  (అమృతవల్లి తాయారు).

(తిరువేஃకా)- కాఞ్చీ -9:

 శ్రీ వేஃకా నగరే భుజంగశయన శ్రీ పొయిగై పద్మాకరో

ద్దీపే తత్ర యధోక్తకారి భగవాన్

శ్రీవేదసారాహ్వయే 

వైమానే వరకోమలాఖ్యలతికా  నాథస్తు  పశ్చాన్ముఖః 

ప్రత్యక్షః కణికృష్ణ ధాతృసరసాం భాతి శ్రితేష్టార్థదః  

సరోజాత మహాయోగి భక్తిసార మహర్షిభిః  

కీర్తితః కలిజిన్నామ మునినాచాపి సాదరమ్ 

LOCATION:  This temple is at one km distance to Kanchi Varadarajaswami sannidhi. 76 kms from Chennai and 90 kms from Tirupati. Plenty of facilities exist here for pilgrims. This is one of the 14 vaishnava Divya Kshetrams in Kaancheepuram city. This is the birth place of Poyigai Alwaar.

MOOLAVAR : Yadhoktakaari Perumaal, also called as sonnavannam seyda perumaal(శొన్నవణ్ణమ్ శెయ్ద పెరుమాళ్) in Bhujanga sayanam resting on his left hand west facing. Saraswathidevi is seated at the feet of Moolavar.

THAAYAAR: Komalavalli thaayaar.

VIMAANAM: Vedasaara vimaanam.

PUSHKARINI : poyigai pushkarini. Poigaialwaar was born in this pushkarini; hence pushkarini is named after him.

STHALA PURAANAM:  Once Lakshmidevi and Saraswathidevi were discussing as who amongst them is great; they asked Indra who said that Lakshmi is great. Saraswathi asked Brahma; he endorsed the opinion of Indra. She got angry and left Sathyaloka to the banks of River Ganga and did penance. Meanwhile, Brahma wanted to perform a yaagam and sent Vasista to bring her. But she did not oblige. So Brahma started yaagam with Gayatri. Saraswathi got angry and took the form  of a river by name Vegavathi  and started flowing  near the yaaga sthalam. Vishnu asked Aadisesha to lie down obstructing the flow and he himself slept on him. Saraswthi realised her mistake with the aatmagnaana bodha of Vishnu. Hence this is called as VEGASETHUSWAMI(వేగసేతుస్వామి) and this place is called as THIRIVEGKAA).

There is another story about this kshetram. An old woman was cleaning the ashram of Tirumazhisai Azhwaar daily and was worried about old age;  Alwaar found out the reason for her fear of ensuing death; he prayed Perumaal and she became a youthful lady.  Pallava King married her and although he was aging, she continued to be very young. The King approached Kanikrishna, a sishya of Thirumazhisai Alwaar, to sing paasurams and make him young. Kanikrishna replied that it is not possible. King became angry and asked him to get out of his kingdom. Alwaar also decided to get out of the kingdom along with Kanikrishna.  They told Perumaal - కణికణ్ణన్ పోగిన్ఱాన్ కామరపూమ్ కచ్చి మణివణ్ణానీకిడక్క వేణ్డా  perumaal also followed them; King came to know that Perumaal also is moving out of his kingdom along with Alwaar, prostrated before them for his faults. Alwaar told Perumaal - కణికణ్ణన్ పోక్కొళి‌న్దాన్ కామరపూమ్ కచ్చి మణివణ్ణా నీ కిడక్క వేణ్డుమ్ so Perumaal returned back along with Alwaar  and Kanikrishna. As Perumaal was obeying his sishyaas' prayers, he is called as YATHOKTA KAARI (యథోక్తకారి). there is a sannidhi for Pillailokaacharyulu here. Vedaantadesikan has sung. VEGAASETHU  strotram here. Maalavaala Maha muni has done Kalakshepam of the Sribhaashyam 

 here.

GOPURAM: Has seven stories and seven kalasams overvit.

ALWAAR PAADAL:  Thirumalisai, Poigai, Nammaalwaar and Thirumangai AlwaRs have sung 3,4,1,6 paasurams here in praise of this Perumaal.

నిత్య పుష్కరిణీ యుక్తే కళ్వనూర్ నగరే స్థితః  విమానే వామనే 

త్వాదివరాహాంజలి వల్లికామ్  ప్రాప్తి పశ్చిమ దిగ్వక్త్రః కలిజిన్ముని కీర్తః అశ్వథోప పదఽఖ్యాత నారాయణ మునీక్షితః

LOCATION:  This sannidhi is in Kaamaakshi Amman Koil in Kaancheepuram city.

MOOLAVAR:  Aadivaraaha perumaal in standing posture west facing.

THAAYAAR : Anjalaivalli thaayaar.

PUSHKARINI:  Nithya PUSHKARINI

VIMAANAM:  Vaamana vimaanam

PRATYAKSHAM:  To Aswarthanaarayanan.

There is a reference  in Vishnu puranam about the name kaLva. Once shiva did penance and tired to offer his head to have darshan of Perumal. Perumal appeared in front of him and stopped him and granted permission to ask for a boon. Shiva asked for two boons. One is that Perumal should become his vehicle. And the second one is that Perumal should do penance to him and ask for a boon so that his greatness is accepted by all. Perumal smiled and granted both the boons. 

As shiva got ashtamoortitwam (eight forms) and one of them is water , Perumal took the form of a rain bearing cloud and bore him satisfying his first boon. 

In krishnavataram Perumal went to kailasam and prayed to shiva which apparentky looked like a person who is not habituated to pray. Then shiva along with his wife appeared in front of perumal and did pradakshinam to him and addressed him as kaLva (a mischievous person). Perumal did not pray to him in his original form, but took avataram as a human and then prayed to him in an un usual way. This shows how cheat he is. This is what meant by shiva in his address to Perumal as kaLva. 

Thirumangai AALWAAR refered this incident and addressed Perumal as kaLva in his paasuram praising the Perumaal in THIRUNEDUNDAANDAGAM (తిరునెడుందాణ్డగమ్~8)

శ్లోకము:  శ్రీ మత్పవళవణ్ణాఖ్యే  పురే చక్ర సరోంచితే

LOCATION: This kshetram is in Kaancheepuram city and is about one Km from Kanchi Kaamakshi Amman temple. In the street opposite this sannidhi is PACHCHAVANNAR(పచ్చవణ్ణర్) sannidhi.

MOOLAVAR:  Pavalavanna Perumaal (పవళవణ్ణ పెరుమాళ్) in standing posture west facing.

THAAYAAR :  Pravaalavalli thaayaar( ప్రవాళవల్లి తాయరు).

OTHER FEATURES:  This sannidhi VimaNam has three stories. In the first story, perumaal is in sitting posture (కింది అంతస్తులో వీత్తిరుంద తిరుక్కోలములో  వేన్ చేసివున్నారు);   in the second story, in sayana(శయన) posture and in the third  story, in standing posture(నిన్ఱ తిరుక్కోలమ్).  But third story has decayed and does not exist at present according to an episode telecast in TTD TV channel some time back.

DIVYADESAM NO. 88:  THIRUPPULKUZHI-KAANCHI(తిరుప్పుల్ కుழி~కాఞ్చీ ~15)

 జటాయుతీర్థ రుచిరే  తిరుప్పుళ్ కుళి పట్టణే 

శ్రీ మరకత వల్లీతి దేవ్యా  విజయరాఘవః

 ఉపవిష్టః ప్రాగ్ముఖస్సన్ జయకోటి విమానగః

 జటాయు గోచరవపూ రాజతే కలిజిన్నుతః

LOCATION:  7Kms from Kaancheepuram on way to Vellore. There are no facilities here for pilgrims. This is 76 kms from Chennai and 90 kms from Tirupati.

 STHALA PURAANAM : This kshetram is also known as THIRUPPUL KULI but is called as  Thirupputkuli. In Tamil PUL means a bird (Garudapakshi); KULI means  pit. At this place Jataayu was buried by Rama in a pit dug by Lakshmana. That's why this is called as THIRUPPULKULI. After Jataayu was injured by Raavana, Rama and Lakshmana came that way and found Jataayu. Before taking the last breath, Jataayu saw Mahavishnu in Rama. Rama dug a theertham (called as JataYu theertham)with his arrow -  and bathed in it after performing last rites. To please Jataayu, Vishnu stayed here as Sri Vijayaraaghava swami as swaymbhu. In 8th century, Pandya kings are reported to have constructed this temple.

MOOLAVAR : SRI VIJAYA RAAGHAVA SWAMI  with chaturbhujams in sitting posture east facing; holding sanku, Chakra, Gadha and abhayahastam along with his two deveris Sridevi and Bhoodevi.  Here Sridevi is on Perumaal's left side instead of on His right side. Both deveris  look to a side instead of  looking straight, perhaps grieved at the death of Jataayu.

THAAYAR:  MARAKATHAVALLI THAAYAAR with chaturbhujams in sitting posture holding flowers in two hands and with abhaya and varada mudra's in 

Two hands.

There is a sannidhi here for Jataayu here.

GOPURAM: Has three stories and five kalasams. Normally dwajasthabham is within the temple premises; but here it is erected outside the praakaaram opposite main entrance. Gadudaalwaar sannidhi is opposite moolavar.

VIMAANAM: Vijayakoti vimaanam.

PRATYAKSHAM: To Jataayu who attained moksham here.

AALWAAR PAADAL: Thirumangai Aalwaar has sung two paasurams here. Vedaantadesikan has sung Shodasaayudha sthrotram in praise of 16 ayudhams of Sudarshana chakram, in order to relieve people of viral fever at this place. 

Yaadavaprakaasa, guru of Sri Raamaanuja, was residing in this place teaching vedaanta sastras to his students. This is the birth place of Pinbazhagaraam perumal jeeyar.

UTSAVAMS:  Annually in MAASI month(Feb/mar), for ten days brahmostavams are held. In January tepposthaavam, in August pavitrostavam is held. In Kumbha maasam , punarvasu theertostavam is held.

LOCATION: This kshetram is located on Chennai-Thiruvalloor railway line.

MOOLAVAR: BHAKTAVATSALAN (PATTARAVI PERUMAAL) పత్తరావి పెరుమాళ్) in standing posture east facing.

THAAYAAR: ENNA PETTA TAAY(ఎన్నపెత్త తాయ్ ~ నన్ను గన్న తల్లి).

PUSHKARINI: Varuna pushkarini - vrudhaksheera nadi.

VIMAANAM: SRINIVAASA VIMAANAM.

PRATYAKSHAM : To Varuna.

AAALWAAR PAADAL: Thirumangai AALWAAR has sung paasuram in praise of this Perumaal.

STHALA PURAANAM: After worshipping in Thiruneermalai kshetram, ThirumangaivAalwaar came to this kshetram, but Perumaal did not look at him as He was deeply being engrossed with Thaayar. So AALWAAR went back to Thiruneermalai and sung a DASAKAM(THIRUMOLI - 2-5) known as PAARAAYADU - (పారాయదు). Thaayaar Ennapettataai  sent her bhaktaas to bring the Aalwaar from Thiruneermalai.  But Aalwaar did mangalaa saasanam to Pattaraavi perumaal from Thiruneermalai kshetram itself as NINRAVOOR NITTILATTAI TOTTAAR SOLAI - నిన్ రవూర్ నిత్తిలత్తై తొత్తార్ శోలై ~

UTSAVAMS: Theertostavam in Meena maasam on Sravanam nakshatram day; Garuda sevai on the morning of third day of brahmosravam. This Sannidhi is under the administration of Thirumalai Pedda Jeeyarswami.

PAASURAM: పూణ్డవత్తమ్ పిరర్కడైందు తొణ్డుపట్టుప్పొయ్ న్నూలై మెయ్ న్నూ లెనెన్రుమోదిమాణ్డు

LOCATION:  5 Kms from Thiruvalloor Railway Station on Chennai-Arkonam rail line. It is 33kms from Kaancheepuram city. Number of busses are available to reach this kshetram from Suluurpet and Tirupathi in Andhra Pradesh.

MOOLAVAR:  VEERA RAAGHAVA PERUMAAL in Bhujanga sayanam east facing.

THAAYAR:  KANAKAVALLI THAAYAAR.

THEERTHAM: Hruttaapa theertham veekshaaranyam.

VIMAANAM: Vijayakoti VimaNam.

PRATYAKSHAM: To Saalihotra Maharshi(శాలిహోత్ర మహర్షి).

AALWAAR PAADAL: Thirumazhisai and Thirumangai Aalwaars have sung paasurams in praise of the Perumal.

STHALA PURAANAM:  Perumaal gave darsan to Saalihotra maharshi and asked him the place where he wants Him to stay. In Sanskrit He asked" KIM GRUHA?" That's why this place is called as Thiruevvulvoor(తిరుఎవ్వుళ్ వూర్). This sannidhi is administered by Ahobila Matt Jeeyarswami. Facilities  are available for pilgrims here. Prasaadam will NOT  be given here to pilgrims. Pilgrims offer huge quantities of jaggary by mixing it in the PUSHKARINI here and seek boons from the Perumaal and wear kankanams to their hands.

UTSAVAMS: Every new moon day(అమావాశ్య), UTSAVAMS is held. In Mesham-Punarvasu nakshatram, and in Makaram Poorvaabhaadra also, brahmostavams are held  for ten days here.

This is one of the eight ashta swyam vyakta Kshetrams(అష్ట స్వయమ్ వ్యక్త క్షేత్రములు); others are: Tirumala, Srirangam, Saalagraamam, Muktinaath, Naimisaaranyam, Badari, and Sri Mushnam.

LOCATION:  This is 2.5 kms south of Pallavaram Rly station which is 12 kms from Egmore Rly station. Number of busses ply to this centre from Chennai. All facilities are available here.

MOOLAVAR:  NEER VANNAN(నీర్వణ్ణన్) in maanikya sayanam south facing.

THAAYAR:  ANIMAAMALAR MANGAI(అణిమామలర్ మంగై) thaayaar.

PUSHKARINI: Manikarnika/ksheera/kaarunya/swarna theerthams. 

VIMAANAM: Toyagiri vimaanam.

PRATHYAKSHAM: To Maarkandeya Maharshi, Bhrughu Maharshi and Thondamaan Chakravarthi.

AALWAAR PAADAL:  Kaliyan and Poodattaalwaar have sung in praise of this Perumaal.

OTHER DETAILS: There is water around this kshetram. Thirumangai AALWAAR came here and stayed for six months unable to cross the water flow. That's why this is called as THIRUMANGAI AALWAAR PURAM.  He praised Perumaal  as  నిన్ఱానిరుందాన్ కిడందాన్ నడందార్కిడమ్ మామలైయావదు నీర్ మలైయే ,Here swami is in standing, sitting, sleeping and walking postures~ నరైయూర్~తిరువాలి~కుడందై తడందిగళ్ కోవలర్ నగర్ ~ (తి~ మొ~2-4-1).

This temple is on a hillock; Ranganaathaar is in sayana thirukkOlam south facing; sitting posture as Saantha Narasimhaswami east facing; walking posture as ULagalandaperumaal in east facing; standing posture as Chakravarthi Thirumagan. There is a separate sannidhi for Sri Ranganaayaki. At the bottom of the hill is Neervannan UTSAVA moorthi.
