వీరనారాయణోభాతి మన్యక్షేత్రే శ్రియా సహ
Located at 25 kms distance from
Virudachalam  and also Chidambaram this place is known as veeranarayana puram, kattumannar Kovil, manyukshetram, and also Mannar Kovil
This is the birth place of swamy Nathamuni - The pillar of srivaishnava sampradayam.
MULAVAR: Veera Narayana Perumal east facing standing posture.
UTSAVAR: Mannanar alias Rajagopalan.
TAYAR: Maragathavalli alias sengamalavalli
PUSHKARINI: Veda pushkarini.
VIMANAM: Punya Vimanam.
PRATYAKSHAM TO: Kaveri tayar and Matanga mahamuni.
This can be considered as one of the divyadesams as this is not only the birth place of preceptor of Srivaishnavism but also the place where Perumal and swamy Nammazhwar wanted prabandha adhyayanotsavam first be celebrated.
Swamy Natha muni was not aware of Dravida prabandham at all. He was an ashtangayogi.  . He was on tour. Enroute  he happend to be at aravamudan Sannidhi at Tirukkudandai.
There he heard people chanting aravamude pasuram. He was mesmerised by the beauty of the bhavam as well as the wordings of the pasuram. He understood from listening to the pasuram till end that those set of 10 pasurams are part of 1000 pasurams written by swamy Nammazhwar. He enquirerd about the remaining pasurams. He got answer that no one knows about the other 990 pasurams.  He was advised to go to Azhwar Thirunagari birth place of Nammazhwar and try. He reached azhwar tirunagari and found no traces of prabandham. There some one from the dynasty of swamy Madhurakavi advised him to chant ‘kanninun siruttambu’  a set of 11 pasurams composes by Madhurakavi in praise of his acharya, for 12000 times and seek refuge at the lotus feet of swamy Nammazhwar. He did so and had darshan of Nammazhwar and blessed with not only tiruvaimozhi but also remaining pasurams composed by other azhwars and Sri Andal. He was instructed by none other than swamy Nammazhwar to start prabadha adhyayanotsavam from kattumannar kovil. Veera Narayana Perumal too ordered the same. So he started first adhyayanotsavam at kattumannar Kovil.
Kattum means to show
Mannar means Krishna alias Veera Narayana Perumal.
Here it is worth mention the reason why tiruvaimozhi got extincted.
In tiruvaimozhi as phalasruti swamy Nammazhwar said that who ever chants this, teaches, or learns shall get moksham instantly.
Perumal has granted the power to swamy Nammazhwar that what ever he says becomes true. So , every one who attempted to learn and teach attained moksham instantly and no one was left to teach or learn.
While making note of all the pasurams granted by swamy Nammazhwar, swamy Nathamuni requested swamy Nammazhwar to make a small amendment in phlasruti which makes it to say that who ever chants, listens , teaches or learns shall attain moksham at the end of that life and not instantly.
This is how tiruvaimozhi came in to use again in adhyayanotsavam.
This place can be said as divyadesam by another reason too.
Swamy periavachcham pillai who is an authority on prabandham and is also known as vyakhyana Chakravarti commented that tirunedundandakam of tirumangaiazhwar contains reference to this Perumal. Ponnanai canto of tirunedundandakam refers to this Perumal as kunapala madayanai -means eastern elephant

Azhwar used to refer to Perumal at many places as an elephant that gives chains to the mahout to tie itself and Perumal according to Azhwar is like that elephant who offers  Bhakti Pasam to his devotees and gets bound by their Bhakti.
This place is managed by descendants of Nathamuni.
They have even reconstructed Sannidhi of Natha muni which was destroyed by Christian groups of that area and maintaining Sannidhi by offering puja.
