BADARKAASRAMAM(BADARINAATH) బదరీనాథ్.
LOCATION:
Haridwaar is on Kolkatta- Dehraadoon railway line and from Haridwaar, pilgrims
have to go to Hrusheekesh and from there, they have to travel 333
kms by road in a bus/car/van.
శ్లోకము:
శ్రీ తప్తకుండ తీర్థాఢ్యే బదర్యాశ్రమ పట్టణే।
అరవింద లతనాథో నారాయణ సమాహ్వయః।।
తప్తకాంచన వైమానే సురనాథ దిశాముఖః|
పద్మాసన జ్ఞాన ముద్రాలంకృతో జపశీలవాన్॥
మంత్రోపదేశం కృతవాన్ నరాఖ్యస్య మునేపురా।
రథాంశ యోగి కలిజిత్ స్తుతో విజయతే తరామ్.।।
This is one of the
Swayam Vyaktha Kshetrams where THIRU ashTaaksharee mantram was given by
BadarinaaraYana Perumaal. This kshetram is also called as Visaalapuri
MOOLAVAR:
BADARINAARAAYANA in sitting - padmaasana - posture east facing with gnaana
mudra.
THAAYAAR:
Aravindavalli thaayaar.

Thapthakaanchana vimaanam.
There are
Agnikundam and Naaradakundam. First pilgrims have to bathe in Naaradakundam and
thereafter bathe in Agnikundam. Here Perumaal is Dhruvamurthi (ధ్రువమూర్తి)all others are Utsava murties(ఉత్సవమూర్తులు). Thirumanjanams
are performed openly and curtain will not be put at all.
BadarinaaraYana
Perumaal has given ashtaKsharee mantram to Naran. (బదరీనారాయణ పెరుమాళ్ళు నరుడికి అష్టాక్షరీ మంత్రము ఉపదేశించిన క్షేత్రము.)Due to heavy snowfall, temple will be closed for
six months on full moon day in Thulaa maasam after offering butter(వెణ్ణకాప్పు), and will be opened on full moon day in Mesha maasam. In garbhaalayam
ghee lamps will be lighted before closing the temple; lights will be glowing
for six months until the temple doors are re-opened. It is believed that Brahma
and other deities will daily come during these six months and worship the
Perumaal. Behind the sannidhi, in Lakshmi Narasimha mandiram, udayavar
,Vedaanthadesikan sannidhi exists. Thadhiyaaradhana is done daily during the
period the temple is open in Pedda Jeeyar's Ashtaakshari mandiram to all
the pilgrims.
There is Brahma
kapaalam at a distance of one km from here. There is VASUDHAARA at a
distance of 8 kms and water sprinkles only on those bhaktaas who are fortunate.
AALWAAR PAADAL:
Periyaalwaar and Thirumangai Aalwar have done mangalaa saasanams here.
Of late,
pilgrims can fly in a Helicopter to this Kshetram from a place called
Rudraprayaag.

పణ్డుకామరానవాఱుమ్; పావైయర్ వాయముదమ్
ఉణ్డవారుమ్, వాழ்న్ద వాఱమొక్క వురైత్తిరుమి
తణ్డుకాలావూన్ఱియూన్ఱి; త్తళ్ళి నడవామున్,
వణ్డుపాడుమ్ తణ్డుழாయాన్ వదరివణఙ్గుదుమే.
